Maxila Suportada Por Mini Implantes – The MARPE Seminar – Clinical solutions & Digital Workflow is a dynamic opportunity to get in touch with cutting edge technology on mini-implant supported maxillary expansion.

Key clinical cases illustrate the lectures for visualization and understanding of technique application(s). Special attention will be dedicated to precise diagnosis and planning, detailed step-by-step techniques, prevention and management of complications, greater skeletal and breathing changes overview, and prediction of success rate factors.

FIRST QUARTER (10-11:30)

• Presentation of the program and Speakers
• Conventional Rapid Maxillary Expansion (RME): deciduous, mixed, and permanent dentition (including adults);
• Surgically Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion (SARPE);
• Rapid Maxillary Expansion (RME) x MARPE: the impact of orthodontic and orthopedic forces on Bone Insertion.
• Diagnosis and prevalence of transverse problems, patient communication
• Suture maturation and age limitations
• MARPE skeletal impact on the face and breathing

SECOND QUARTER (11:30 – 13:00)

• Instrument, expander and mini-implant selection
• Ideal expander and mini implant positioning
• Step-by-step delivery and insertion technique
• Activation protocols for adult patients
• Clinical solutions after maxillary expansion
• Expander and mini implant removal
• Complication and prevention management
• Retention protocol

THIRD QUARTER (14:00 – 15:30)

• MARPE safe planning using CBCT
• Treating complex cases with MARPE
• MARPE appliance construction based on CBCT planning
• MARPE Guide (digital planning)
• Additional protocols for complex cases
• Live demonstration of mini-implant insertion (3D printed model) 

FOURTH QUARTER (15:30 – 17:00)

• MARPE aided vertical and sagittal corrections
• Clinical solutions in orthodontics using mini-implants
• “Combo Mechanics”: bone anchorage expansion + distalization in mixed and permanent dentition in Class II malocclusions with mesialization of posterior upper teeth.
• Q&A: open questions and discussion session

Dr. Túlio Andrade (MS), Orthodontist with 10 years experience in MARPE. Dr. Andrade is an active developer of modern resources in skeletal expansion and author of several articles on the theme.

Cristiane Barros Andre (MS), CEO of KIKA Ortodontia Laboratory with extensive experience in the manufacture of several designs of MARPE expanders, idealizing security protocols and digital workflow solutions in orthodontics.

Dr. Mauricio de Almeida Cardoso (Ph.D.), Orthodontist with broad clinical experience treating maxillary transverse discrepancy with different protocols and an extensive number of articles published on the subject.
